celebrating the year of the rooster at Coach, South Coast Plaza
I stopped by South Coast Plaza (one of my favorite places to shop) earlier this week and I was greeted by several celebrations for the year of the rooster! Coach had a trained calligrapher on site as well as several free gifts with purchase. I lucked out and got some calligraphy and a special rooster keychain- and I didn't even have to make a purchase! Also, there was a larger celebration going on in the center of South Coast Plaza complete with a massive rooster! The colors

statement piece research: these boots were made for walking
So let's talk boots, or more specifically, boots that were made to be statement pieces.

limerence of the day: Betsey Johnson poshhh heels
I love these Betsey Johnson Poshhh heels! They look like Fendi or Chiara Ferragni without the hefty price tag and you'll likely see these babies again as part of my take on the evil eye trend! I also love the blue fur on these- it really gives them a unique touch! Great statement piece for sure!

limerence of the day: Givenchy apocalypse sweater
Well, I do love Givenchy. This sweater is clearly out of my price point, but it doesn't mean I don't love it. You can get it from Nordstrom if you want it though!

statement piece research: the cat's meow
I am a cat lady. There's no getting around it- I'm obsessed with my baby Jezebel Rapunzel Stewart- aka America's next top kitten. You can see her doing Blue Steel, and possibly Magnum right here: And my love for Jezebel has inspired me to compile a list of the most fashionable clothing, accessories, and other items decorated with cats, kittens, and tigers if applicable! #1 MOST WANTED: STELLA MCCARTNEY CAT PRINT SWEATER I am obsessed with this sweater because it's a black sta

limerence of the day: Fendi monster
Well, not that I can actually buy this Fendi Peekabo Monster satchel/briefcase but it's so cool. My therapist says I can write it off as a business expense though so maybe someday...and if my therapist is saying it it must be ok right...
tricks of the trade: dining out alone
I frequently go out by myself- obviously for shopping but also for dinner, drinks, or just a nice afternoon near the beach. I find that I enjoy the time alone, but there is of course the issue of being devoured by soul-crushing loneliness and abandonment to consider as well. So here are some tricks of the trade to make dining out alone as enjoyable as possible. So take yourself out! Metaphorically speaking of course. TRICK #1: PICK A RESTAURANT THAT RESPECTS YOUR PERSONAL SPA

statement rings: lions, elephants, and snakes, oh my!
I often don't wear jewelry because I find that it gets in the way, or it just doesn't quite go with my outfit. But I absolutely love rings, and more specifically, statement rings that can stand alone or be worn with other smaller pieces. Below is a list of my favorites- some in the designer range and others for as little as $5! So I think a selfie is warranted here for these two rings from Gucci. They were definitely a budget stretch but I loved them too much to say no! I lov

statement piece research: the cartoon trend
So I was online shopping the other day (I know...I online shop every day) and I came across this Ren and Stimpy designer dress! On the more cost effective side Urban Outfitters also has a Ren and Stimpy pullover that I did actually buy. See that grainy photo below? That's me with my Ren and Stimpy pullover! And I'm obsessed with this sparkly Miss Piggy Kate Spade collection...I think puppet is close enough to cartoon! And then there is of course the SpongeBob Moschino collect

statement piece research: the Disney trend
Over the past few months I've noticed some definite Disney vibes (or more than vibes...outright Disney galore!) in designer collections. I know that Disney has been a thing for quite some time but I do feel like it's popping lately! Here are some of the most noteworthy options: My first pick is this Bambi bag from Givenchy. Honestly, quite a bit above my usual price point but I did immediately notice this online. I'm also obsessed with this Ursula bag from Danielle Nicole-
